2002 EVision EAA Conference

EAA members from San Francisco, San Jose, New England, Detroit and North Carolina met in Washington DC for the first ever Electric Auto Association chapter conference. The event was hosted by Electric Vehicle Assocation of Washington DC.

The conference began with the start of the Tour de Sol on Tuesday May 14, followed by conference sessions in the afternoon at the Department of Energy and a Lasagna Dinner at the Tacoma Villiage. EAA Chairman Ron Freund opened the session with a goal of "2500 members by 2005".

Day two followed the Tour de Sol to the Autocross event at Sandy Point State Park and onto Boyertown Pennsylvania at the Boyertown, Auto Museum. EV legend Bob Beaumont was our guest speaker at Boyertown. Ed Thorpe of the East Bay Chapter of the EAA set up a web cam for those who could not join us.
