The GM EV1 is a purpose built EV featuring the latest EV technologies including a choice of lead acid or NiMH battery packs powering a 137 horsepower AC induction motor and an aerodynamic tear-shaped body built with composite materials. The EV1 is only available for lease in Arizona and California. 900 units were produced and at the moment GM has stopped production.

An electric version of the popular sport ute sharing the same body styling and interior appointments as its gasoline cousin. A 56kW permanent magnet motor delivers 67 horsepower. The RAV-4 EV is currently only available for fleet use in California, New York and Massachusettes.
